Hi, I'm Becky woodling.

After years of caring for others as a nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, and women's ministry leader, I discovered how easy it is to pour yourself into everyone around you while neglecting your own well-being.

For many years, I served in a senior leadership role that looked successful on the outside, but left me feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the peace God desired for my life.

Through that season, God began teaching me the importance of slowing down, caring for myself intentionally, and finding my identity in Him rather than in achievement or the expectations of others.

Today, Becoming Her is the result of that journey—a place where women can grow in faith, find encouragement, embrace intentional self-care, and continue becoming the woman God created them to be.

My story

____________________ ❣ ___________________

For much of my life, I searched for fulfillment in all the wrong places.

Like many women, I spent years caring for everyone around me while neglecting my own heart. During a difficult season in my marriage, I found myself seeking God's direction more than ever before. At 40 years old, with three young children to raise, I made the decision to return to school and pursue a nursing career so I could provide for my family and prepare for whatever the future might hold.

What I didn't realize at the time was that God was doing far more than preparing me for a profession—He was preparing me for a new season of life.

Through much prayer, faith, and dependence on Him, God faithfully carried me through challenges that eventually led to divorce. In the midst of uncertainty, He became my strength, my provider, and my source of hope. He began healing wounds I had carried for years and teaching me to trust Him instead of relying on my own understanding or the approval of others.

Looking back now, I can see God's hand guiding every step, even in seasons when I couldn't understand what He was doing.

Little by little, He showed me that my identity was never meant to be found in relationships, achievements, or titles—it was always meant to be found in Him.

That journey wasn't instant, and it certainly wasn't perfect. It has been a process of surrender, healing, forgiveness, and learning to walk in obedience to God's leading.

Years later, God blessed me with a Christ-centered marriage and continued to reveal His goodness and faithfulness in ways I never could have imagined.

Becoming Her was born from that journey.

Today, my passion is helping women grow in God's Word, discover their identity in Christ, find healing through His grace, and walk confidently in the purpose He has for their lives. Because no matter where you've been or what you've walked through, God is faithful, and your story is never beyond His redemption.

How I Study God’s Word

One of the greatest gifts God has given me is a hunger for His Word. Over the years, I have learned that true transformation doesn’t happen by simply reading Scripture-it happens when we slow down, observe, ask questions, and allow God to speak through His Word.

Using The James Method of Bible Study, I study Scripture verse by verse, exploring context, key words, cross references, and practical application. This process has deepened my faith, renewed my mind, and helped me grow in obedience to Christ.

Below is an example from one of my personal Bible studies.

Going Deeper Into Scripture

Studying God's Word involves more than reading a verse. I compare translations, follow cross references, and ask what the passage reveals about God, about myself, and how I should respond.

The heart behind becoming her

Becoming Her was born from a deep desire to help women grow in their relationship with God and discover who they are in Christ.

My own journey has been marked by seasons of healing, surrender, growth, and learning to trust God's plan over my own. Through every season, His Word has been my anchor, His grace has been sufficient, and His faithfulness has never failed.

Today, my passion is encouraging women to study Scripture, strengthen their faith, and walk confidently in the purpose God has for their lives.

Whether through Bible studies, teaching, resources, or meaningful conversations, my prayer is that Becoming Her will be a place where women feel encouraged, equipped, and inspired to continue becoming the women God created them to be.

A PERSONAL INVITATION

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about my story and the heart behind Becoming Her.

If there is one thing I hope you take away from my journey, it's this: God is faithful. No matter where you've been, what you've walked through, or what season you're in today, He is still at work.

My prayer is that Becoming Her will encourage you to draw closer to Christ, grow in His Word, and walk confidently in the purpose He has for your life.

Wherever you are on your journey, know that you are welcome here. I would be honored to walk alongside you as we continue becoming the women God created us to be.

With love,
